Invasive Species Identification and Control Workshop

Join MDC Natural History Biologist Larry Rizzo, Johnson County Parks Field Biologist Matt Garrett and KC WildLands Program Manager Linda Lehrbaum, for a half-day field session on identification and control of many of the invasive plant species found in the Kansas City region.  This workshop is intended for on-the-ground parks personnel and their supervisors, and will cover best practices for controlling shrub honeysuckle, callery pear, sericea lespedeza, Johnson grass, and others.  Learn to identify and control Kansas City’s “Top Ten Least Wanted” invasive plants in natural areas and restoration projects.
