2018 Monarch Migration Celebration

Monarch fans are invited to Loose Park on Saturday, September 22 from 10am to 1pm as we celebrate the mind boggling natural phenomenon that is the seasonal monarch migration.  Pretend to be a monarch flying a miniature migration route over the midwest with stops along the way to enjoy activities for the whole family and learn how to help Monarchs at home.

Don’t miss the chance to view and learn about live caterpillars, chrysalises and butterflies!  This year’s celebration also includes free popsicles, face-painting, monarch hats, storytelling, a monarch photo booth selfie station, and milkweed and nectar plant giveaways from our partners at Prairie Whisper Gardens, Green Thumb Gardens, Taylor Creek Nurseries and Sow Wild Natives!

Admission and all actives are free, donations will be accepted to help KCNPI support more native plants in the landscapes of Kansas City.

RSVP to the facebook event  and let your friends know you’ll be there!
